The idea began nearly two decades ago with a clear purpose: to build a modern compound city dedicated to artists and creators. Planned as a residential and commercial development of over 3,400 units, Art City aims to become a place where artistic professionals can live, work, and create a sustainable environment where film, television, design, music, and creative industries thrive side by side.

While the project has progressed through multiple stages of approval with the Kurdistan Regional Government Board of Investment and other related ministries, it currently awaits final allocation of land from the Erbil Municipality. Despite the natural delays caused by regional challenges, bureaucratic steps, and periods of instability, the Art City project has never stopped moving forward.
